Sitting in Cafe Nero in Bristol Leeds

(the view outside...)

Well this morning saw an early start.. no.. 7am is not early.. early is called leaving the house at 4am. My husband had a meeting 6 hours south of where we live in West Yorkshire.

We departed to the dawn of the day, dropped a friend off in London, and went past Lego World.. I can't wait to go there..

Anyhoo.. I find myself waiting and watching the longest queue I've seen since I viewed Paris from the heights of the Eiffel Tower. There is an exhibition on across the road at the Bristol Museum City and Art Gallery. The artist is Banksy. Who is Banksy? Well no one is meant to know. He keeps his identity secret due to ongoing legal issues.. hmm.. what could that mean??

If you type Banksy into Google Images, you will be quickly reaquainted with the work of this man. One of his most famous graffitti depictions is this...

I've contemplated lining up to see this show.. but from where I sit, I can't even see the end of the queue. I'm quite content to sit and pretent like my Chai latte hasn't really run out.

I have 21 minutes remaining on my timed internet, and my plan was to do post the tutorial I've been working on. (How to make clothing buttons from Shrink Plastic).

So stayed tuned... reporting from Bristol, UK!

  1. You should go to the Banksy exhibit he is a fabulous artist, this is a once in a life time experience and it is free. Bristol Museum wanted an exhibit from him so bad they were willing to do it for free and not in the museum, he is that big. You are so lucky to have the ability to go see this in person, I just saw some pictures from a British news paper. You are so lucky :)

  2. My parents and sister were in that queue....for 3 hours! But they really enjoyed it and from the pictures they showed me it looked like it was worth the wait.
